My new niece is so adorable it almost makes me want to have a baby. ALMOST.
Then I realise as long as Shay and Lisa keep having babies, I can always fawn over the cuteness and give 'em back when they get all poppy or fussy or bratty!
Yes, I think I'll stick to being just a doting Auntie for quite a bit longer. No babies for ME!

Apparently there has been a bit of confusion regarding certain rumors. Yes, April 1st I told my friends and family I was expecting a baby. No, I am NOT actually expecting some baby. With the LOVELY flowers Fergus sent, and the questions and comments from my class after.. let's just say it got carried away and I decided to just act like nothing happened because, uh, having a seven year old tell you "Did you know it's not proper to have a baby if you're not married" followed by some colourful commentary (all of which I can guess her mother's opinion of babies out of wedlock!) was rather embarrassing.
Only, I found out that apparently there are people who still believe in the rumor, and uhm, yeah IT IS NOT TRUE! I should have said so earlier, but there you have it! Unless I'm the next Virgin Mary there is NO BABY IN MY WOMB.

Well, I'm having his baby. I've been meaning to say something, but today when I looked in the mirror and saw the beginnings of a baby belly, I realized I can't hide it any longer.
How dead do you think I'll be when my parents find out??

She's absolutely positively HORRID. Just when I thought that we had finally gotten to the point she'd behave in class, she goes and acts out again.
SHE BIT ME! Her TEACHER. I mean, come on, aren't kids supposed to behave better for their teachers than they do at home, and not do things like BITE THEM.
I know she's just a kid, and you shouldn't label kids with the label of good or bad, but good merlin, if she's not a bad kid than I don't know what would be considered a bad kid.
I love my job, I love my job, I love my job... It's just one of those days where I have to remind myself that because I just feel like tearing out my hair now.
Hmph.

Earlier today I was offered a chance to play Aubrey again, on a spin-off for the WWN. I'm torn... while playing the character would not take away from my work here, at the school, it will certainly limit my free time. Which, wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing, either... I'm mostly hesitant because I'd rather play someone else... but I haven't managed to land any other roles after Aubrey. The role of Aubrey, though, is a sure thing... and yet, if I turn her down someone else will fill her shoes which would mean either a) I cringe at how horribly wrong the new Aubrey seems or b) they do better than me and thus, I become unemployable as an actress forever. Decisions, decisions... what would you do if you were me?
Also, I had a child ask me today if I was a lesbian. Something about the fact that I wasn't married and was Miss Flaherty instead of a Mrs. Somebody... I think... they had a conversation with their parents recently that got misinterpreted.. but according to said student, anyone who is an unmarried adult is homosexual. That's a lot of homosexuals out there!
I told the student that I was simply waiting to meet a guy that sparkles before I settled down... which would have been a lot more funny if the student was actually old enough to get the joke. Sigh.
Enough rambling.. I'm going to go... jog or something.

One of the boys in my class today asked if I had a date to the dance -- he has a couple older sisters who keep going on and on about the dance and perfect dates and dresses and what not.. I told him that no I wasn't going to the dance with anyone though I was planning on attending to help chaperone the evening... his response?
"Great! I'll pick you up at five."
...
I told him to owl me in 12 years if he still felt that insistent on a date.
Although a real valentine that isn't a seven year old boy with a crush would be nice If I didn't know any better, I'd think he was sucking up for better marks.

With all the complaints about the Third Years lately, I must say, it makes me more and more grateful and appreciative that I'm teaching the ickle children, instead!
That being said, Third Years?? Really?! Seems like their a bit young to start acting all unruly-like.
Also? Call me a little paranoid, but having a dance on FRIDAY THE 13TH just seems like a disaster WAITING to happen.

Warded to Boarders Cast
Today was a bloody AMAZING day. First Hogsmeade, with Mr. Dean Thomas, no less! Which, that in and of itself would have been pretty fantastic, but that's not even the BEST part.
When I got back to Hogwarts, the Headmistress called me into her office. Apparently they need Aubrey for some last minute scenes before they completely wrap up filming for the Holiday break. Which means I'll be heading back to London BEFORE heading out to Italy to visit Shay! FREEDOM, SWEET FREEDOM!
She's arranging exam-type things with Kenzie, apparently since we're so far ahead of the curriculum, it's possible I won't have to return to school until examinations right before the month long Holiday. Thank BLOODY Merlin.

I have a portkey for Wendesday! I could have gotten one really early in the morning, but I figured you'd probably not be up before the sun, so I'll be in at 11:48am. Just in time for you, my dear, dear brother, to take me to lunch! I cannot wait until I'm in Italy with you!

I'm counting down the days for Saturday, even though I know that Dean will spend at least part of the day lecturing me about how important it is for me to stay at Hogwarts and how important it is that I don't go around snogging random blokes who are only after one thing. Still, it'll be nice to see him! I'm surprised he agreed to it, considering I'm his best mates annoying baby sister and all, but I'm not complaining.
While all my classmates will be hanging out amongst themselves, I'll have the company of a very fit older bloke! Even if said very fit older bloke and I are only friends, and said very fit older bloke likely looks at me as if I'm a sister, it's still better then spending the day alone.
They don't get it though. Shay, Dean, and everyone else who is so eager to lecture me on the responsibility I have to stay enrolled at Hogwarts. How could they? They aren't the ones who return to school only to be practically shunned by the majority of the student body. Jealousy is a very common emotion in teenagers! Or, worse, have people who you know can't stand you attempt to be all sweet when you're around just because you have 'connections'.
Then, on top of dealing with the fact that I'm either ignored or being used by my peers, there's the fact that I'm actually AHEAD of the class. When I am stuck at my flat with nothing to do because everyone keeps treating me as if I'm too young for EVERY BLOODY THING, I've got nothing to do but work on my studies. My tutor and I are easily two or three weeks ahead of the curriculum.
Yet, apparently, only having a tutor and not attending classes while on break from filming would deny me the "enrichment" of being in a classroom setting. HUMBUG. BAH FREAKING HUMBUG.
I don't fit in at school. I don't really fit in outside of school, either, but at least there are a number of people that seem to genuinely like me and are willing to humor me even though they some might think I ought to be locked up from the big bad world until I'm of age... It's frustrating.
Now I'm resorting to practically begging (a guilt trip could be considered begging) my brother's best mate into spending the afternoon with me at Hogsmeade just so I don't look stupid walking around by myself.
Merlin, I cannot wait until I have filming again. Or until I'm in Italy.

UGH! Vicky! I'm getting so fed up with everyone saying I'm too young for EVERYTHING. I want to prove them WRONG. My brother's got far too many bloody friends who think it's their duty to protect me, too, as if one overprotective brother wasn't enough!
What's the best way to make the world stop being so bloody patronizing and protective? I feel like everyone is afraid if I take one STEP without a hand to hold I'm going to break. It's completely and utterly irritatingly frustrating!

It's so incredibly DULL here. I cannot wait until I get to visit my brother. Why do I have to even come back to school- I cannot wait until I have filming again!

They won't need Aubrey for filming purposes next week and I'm utterly BUMMED. That means I've got to go back to prison Hogwarts for at least a week.. I hope they start giving Aubrey a larger role in the series and a love interest! just so I can stay in London more often!
School feels so restricting now that I've gotten a taste of the real world. I wonder why I even bother, I could just be tutored until I take my OWLS and NEWTS-
if anyone wants time with this RISING STAR, you better get it before Sunday!
PS. Who wants to buy me a new non-exploding quill?!
